Our Purpose is Simple
To provide a hand up—not a handout—so that individuals and families can build lives of dignity, purpose, and self-reliance.

Our Vision
A Lake County where every individual who is willing to work has the opportunity to achieve independence, where hunger and homelessness are no longer barriers to a better life, and where families have the support they need to build lasting financial stability and hope for future generations.

Our Mission
The New Beginning Initiative exists to eliminate hunger and homelessness in Lake County by empowering individuals and families who are committed to helping themselves. Rather than creating long-term dependency, we provide targeted, temporary support that removes the barriers preventing people from obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment.
We focus on practical solutions such as transportation, childcare, housing assistance, education, job training, and other employment-related needs that often stand between hardworking individuals and self-sufficiency. By addressing these obstacles, we help people move beyond crisis toward stability, independence, and long-term success.
We believe that lasting change occurs when communities invest in people who are willing to invest in themselves. Working alongside nonprofit organizations, employers, government agencies, and community partners, we strive to create a collaborative model that not only transforms lives in Lake County but also serves as an example for communities across the nation.
